GN: Aaaaand we’re back! Welcome one and all to the Planets Mag studios for this next installment of our annual pledge drive! I’m Gnerphk, and this is Talespin.

TS: [gentle snore]

GN: Please forgive my co-host. He’s on a scheduled coffee nap. They tell me the caffeine has more kick if you sneak in an hour’s sleep just after drinking it.

TS: [less gentle snore]

GN: Well, I thought I’d give you an update on how the pledge drive has been doing. The phones, it turns out, were a bad idea, but on the other hand we’ve actually been receiving donations through electronic channels.

TS: [another snore]

GN: That’s right: coffee has been pouring right in. Now, I’m not naming names here, but three people each bought us one coffee, one got us three, one five, and one generous soul purchased ten. That’s a total of twenty-one!

TS: [slightly louder snore]

GN: Yes indeed, folks; this pledge drive is proving successful. Even after we deduct the site hosting fees and the postage for mailing the latest trophy — long overdue; sorry, Tei — we still have [checks calculator] four cups of coffee ready to drink.

TS: *SNRXXXXXXXXAAAHGKKKKXXX*

GN: And, if we divide that evenly between the two of us, by my math, that should keep us going until Friday! That’s right, people; we’ve got just enough go-juice to finish off this story!!!

TS: [silence]

GN: [more quietly] Hope I didn’t disturb him there. Now, I’ll just pour myself a cup and let you nice folks get back to… Hey! The pot’s empty again! How the heck… He’s asleep! How did he—?

TS: [sudden snore]

GN: [shakes head] Oh, well. Guess I’ll just have to be quicker next time. And now back to the story!
