All of our content here at the Planets Magazine has been contributed by volunteer writers and editors, with the exception of those bits archived from the long-ago. Even those were generated by the player community without any real thought of compensation, quite in keeping with the Shareware origins of the original game.

Hosting services and widgets don’t cost much, but they do cost something; it’s our hope that voluntary contributions from our readers will help pay for that, in addition to hopefully keeping the site ad-free. Anything beyond that is of course welcome; editing is a thankless task even at the best of times, and writers have it worse: On top of everything else, they have editors to deal with.
